Yes, I just wrote an introductory  paragraph that had nothing to do with the subject at hand, which is supposed to be why I fondle my double action / single action guns more than my striker fired guns.

The answer is simple, dry fire practice with a Glock is like trying to have a meaningful conversation with a woman whose entire self worth is determined by  instagram likes. It’s simply frustrating. Pull the trigger, rack the slide, reset trigger, pull trigger, rack slide, and repeat. In text it seems simple enough but so does the Ten Commandments and we’ve been struggling with those for years.

However, ever since I got my HKp30 i’ve been dry firing the hell out of that thing. Granted, I am relegated to a double action pull, but if I really want to work on that reset i’ll just rack it, but I figure if I can master the double action pull, the constant action of the Glock, M&P, etc should be a breeze.

To date, I  have noticed an improvement in my trigger control when shooting striker fired guns like the Glock and M&P.

I get it, a gun is always loaded so you shouldn’t have to depend on a loaded chamber indicator to tell you the gun is loaded. In a perfect world no truer words can be spoken, but in this reality we as humans are always seconds away from another f*** up. What’s so evil about a little non intrusive bar that sits slightly raised on top of your gun?

Don’t get me wrong, I am by no means advocating the complete and utter reliance of a loaded chamber indicator to determine the bang bang status of your firearm.  When I had a gun that had a loaded chamber indicator I still safety checked the firearm even with the chamber indicator down. The thing is, it takes only one mistake, one squeeze of the trigger of an assumed empty firearm to have a really really bad day.

What we don’t see is how the loaded chamber indicator prevents negligent discharges you never knew were about to happen, because you saw the chamber indicator and automatically knew it was loaded. If anything, if there was one thing capable of drilling it into our heads that a gun is always loaded its a loaded chamber indicator.

Sure, a loaded chamber indicator  isn’t the prettiest thing in the world, but last I checked the Ruger SR series of pistols weren’t exactly safe queens. No one complains about the frame mounted and grip safeties on 1911s but we jump up and down in protest over a little lever that may likely prevent a negligent discharge? I guess.

And as Far as I am concerned, Glocks and M&Ps don’t have loaded chamber indicators.

However, upon watching The Walking Dead it’s fairly clear that T-Dog’s   survival is due to dumb luck or some sick twisted joke the writers are playing on all of us. At this point it does not matter. T-Dog made it to Season 3 when he clearly wasn’t supposed to and now I think he needs our help to see the end of this series.

Quite frankly, T-Dog’s choice in weaponary has been questionable. One minute it’s a wrench, then a hammer and now that he finally has a dedicated firearm it’s still subpar. A Smith & Wesson Lady Smith? Really? Come on T-Dog.  Everyone knows that was Andreas Gun, and even she’s carrying a Berretta 92 FS.

Honestly, I blame the writers. It’s bad enough T-Dog is practically invisible, but still you equip him with a gun my invisible little sister wouldn’t carry? I think we all need to head over to The Walking Dead Facebook page  and petition the writers to equip T-Dog with a Smith & Wesson M&P.  Why an M&P you ask, well if he’s going carry a Smith & Wesson at least give him the best one.

I’ve said it before and ill say it again, AKs are like pitbulls, feared by most people absolutely loved by their owners. Owen from Snake Hound is one of those owners. When it comes to AKs Owen is brilliant. I still have products from Owen that I have yet to review, but they’ll be coming shortly.

I have a soft spot in my heart for ARs. I am a very visual guy and the AR is a beautiful rifle, the ergonomics are dead on, it wields and handles beautifully, and accurate to the point of arrogance, but it can be a bit of a brat and a little high maintenance. The AK is an enabler. I can be lazy, self centered and down rough and the AK will still love me.

The AK-47 will never be Americas weapon of Choice, but that’s fine with me because it will be my weapon of choice, and the weapon of choice of a few others who understand its worth. Like the womanizer who encourages homosexuality because it means more women for him, the more AK hate the more AK love for me at cheaper prices.

I still want an AR.

Considering what we have to lust over in the gun world that breathes, Michelle is a breath of fresh air, but even outside of the gun world she’s baaaaad, and if you can’t see that Frank Ocean is having a slumber party you should probably attend. Speaking of Frank Ocean, i’m listening to Pyramid as I write this post with a picture of Michelle on my desktop, so it’s probably facilitating the thirst of this post.

Though I believe she gets the recognition she does in the gun community because she’s a dime in a community filled with pennies a few nickels and a couple of other dimes, doesn’t mean she can’t shoot. I’m sure she shoots better than I do and most of the people reading this.

I honestly don’t care how well she shoots as long as she keeps shooting and truly enjoys it. I am just glad she’s representing our community and looks the way she does doing it. I never apologize for being a man and I don’t think a woman should apologize for the way she looks. Michelle actually being able to shoot well is simply icing on the cake.

I will say this, some of her pictures are typical gun model cheesy type pics and I am not a huge fan of that type of gun porn, but i’ll let her make it for now.

As much respect as I have for the man, Chris Costa and his beard is not my idea of Gun Porn.

Everyone owes it to their family, friends and loved ones to take charge of their own safety however you decided to do it. The people that love you can’t always be there to protect you. When I leave my girlfriends apartment there is nothing I can do for her if someone kicks in her door, she needs to have a when he’s not here plan. That maybe guns, pepper spray, a bat, something to even the playing field.

Yes, there are some circumstances you can’t do anything about, but there are so many other circumstances that will allow you to fend for yourself. Don’t subject your loved ones to the grief of losing you or dealing with something happening to you when you could have done something about it.

If in the end, the initiative you took to defend yourself doesn’t work, your loved ones will take comfort in knowing you did all you could to remain in their lives and through the tears they can smile knowing you went down fighting to stay in their lives.

I know a few people who appendix carry and it baffles me. I think people who appendix carry are magicians. Where the hell does the gun go when you sit down. People who appendix carry are like human Kangaroos, when they sit down their Kangaroo pouch opens up and in goes the gun.

Anytime I sit down while I appendix carry the butt of  the gun tries to become a part of my large intestine and it’s simply unbearable. I try to shift it and move it around but I get nothing but pain. Some people have a problem having a gun pointed at their danger zone and I can understand that, but a good holster  quashes any concerns in that department.

While I am standing appendix carry is awesome! It’s monumentally easy to conceal handguns with appendix carry.      Now, lets be real here, you are not going to be able to appendix carry an HK MK23 , but any reasonably sized gun will simply dissappear while carrying appendix.

Ok, so it seems that my only gripe with appendix carry is the guns insatiable desire to explore my internals through my stomach. The thing is I never know when I am going to have to sit down and if I am carrying appendix style and I have to sit for some reason i’ll be royally screwed.

Obviously, the people who appendix carry don’t have this issue or they have a pain fetish. I still to this day don’t know how they do it, so ill just stick with my 3-4 o’clock carry until I evolve into a human kangaroo. Here’s the thing, as much as I love my Glock 19 I have a sick and twisted desire to see it knocked off its throne. The way I see it, the M&P series of handguns is in the perfect position to  do that but Smith & Wesson keeps trying to pass off that step child of a gun the M&Pc as their answer to the Glock 19.

Out of all the M&Ps my favorite is the 9c, but its not good enough. The biggest selling point of the 19 is its size. The 19 is small enough to conceal and big enough to fight with, its just right. The M&Pc size wise is small enough to conceal and arguably big enough to fight with, but its like buying a Porsche boxer. Dude, just get the Cayman and be done with it.

The M&Pc is Smith & Wesson’s passive aggressive attempt to compete with the Glock 19.  If you’re going to go at the king go right at him, don’t side step to try to give the appearance that you’re not competing. It’s like breaking up with Eva Longoria and trying to make her jealous by dating  Mila Kunis. It’s going to take the likes of Sofia Vergada to incite envy in Ms. Longoria.

Size wise, the M&Pc sits right between the Glock 19 and Glock 26, which wouldn’t be so bad if there was an M&P comprable to the 19. The M&Pc is like being on a health food diet, you like brown rice and grilled chicken breast but you keep looking at your  best friend inhaling his double cheese burger.

I said all that to say this, Smith & Wesson please just create an M&P 19.  I have faith that an M&P the size of the 19 with the trigger of the shield would make the 19 sit up and take notice if not scare the living shit out of it. I love my 19 but she needs to know that I can do better than her if she starts acting up. Right now my 19 has no competition, I need a Sofia Vergada to put my 19 in its place.

The day Smith & Wesson comes out with an M&P Glock 19 Killer im buying 3 of them. Just Cause.
