Recently, Sig Sauer announced that they are shipping their Carbon Fiber 516 and M400 Rifles. I’m not a carbon fiber nut but when it’s done right, it’s a thing of beauty.

In my current car the entire roof is carbon fiber and every panel on the interior is carbon fiber, but It’s done tastefully. It’s safe to say this gun and my car belong together (Another ridiculously stupid reason to buy another gun).

So, what do I think about the Carbon Fiber 516? Well, the fact that I am currently making phone calls to get my hands on one should tell you all you need to know. Aesthetically, the rail on the 516 does it for me more than the one on the M400, and it being a short-stroke piston gun only adds to its desirability. Besides, I have enough direct impingement rifles. Wait, is that even possible?

The Stock on these are giving me a lot of MFT Battle-link Minimalist Stock that I did a review on not too long ago.

SIG516 Rifle: $2,504

SIGM400 Rifle: $2,132
