Just in time for the “Obama Is Going to Take Our Guns and turn them into license plates” era, Smith and Wesson introduces the M&P Pro Series C.O.R.E. Pistols. I love me some M&Ps, but I got to say, It seems like the Pro Series of pistols are getting really busy looking. Especially the C.O.R.E. It’s like someone took some T-Edgers to the back strap just to try to make it look more different from the standard M&P.
Apparently, C.O.R.E. stands for (Competition Optics Ready Equipment) . Ugh, the name sounded cooler before I knew what it meant. Competition Optics Ready Equipment sounds like the name for scuba diving products not a gun. However, I think the idea behind the gun is cool, and the gun looks cool even if a bit too busy.
The idea behind the C.O.R.E. line is a special mounting platform that allows you to mount the optic of your choice. This is very much a competition focused gun (obviously). Though I have done IDPA in the past and have plans to pick it back up, I am not really moved by race guns. I am very much self defense enthusiast oriented when it comes to my obsession with guns so the C.O.R.E. is ok I guess. […]

I know, I know, I know, you’re wondering who the hell is T-Dog?!? Well if you’re a fan of the walking dead you might know him as the invisible black guy on the show. Now in it’s third season T-Dog has managed to make it through the first two seasons of The Walking Dead without being killed. Considering the genere of this series and T-Dog’s racial make up it’s fucking incredible that he’s still here.
However, upon watching The Walking Dead it’s fairly clear that T-Dog’s survival is due to dumb luck or some sick twisted joke the writers are playing on all of us. At this point it does not matter. T-Dog made it to Season 3 when he clearly wasn’t supposed to and now I think he needs our help to see the end of this series. […]

I’ve never really been a huge fan of super modified guns, they always tend to look, too modified. This mashup is no exception. ATEi teamed up with Chris Costa to produce this “too modified” Smith & Wesson M&P9. There is so much going with this gun I don’t know where to begin, so I won’t. Here is what I will say, ” This gun looks nice, real nice”. Actually, “cool” would be a better word to describe this gun.
I have to confess, I could do without the “COSTA” plastered on the slide of the gun. Don’t get me wrong, I think Costa is the S**t, but I don’t need to be reminded of it every time I pick up my gun. I understand the branding implications but I could do without it. […]
