Savannah Woman Utilizes Firearm to Defend Herself from Alleged Intruder

It’s amusing to listen to Second Amendment critics rail against ever-increasing defensive gun uses. Any reasonable person would celebrate innocent civilians protecting themselves, but anti-gunners don’t view the world that way.

There is little delineation between perpetrator and victim, and gun rights opponents all too frequently resort to making excuses for those who deserve none.

But for one coastal Georgia woman, the right to keep and bear arms may very well have saved her life.

Yet another woman rejected victimhood and embraced her Second Amendment rights

The exact relationship between the woman and her alleged attacker is unclear, but along with assault charges, the suspect faces another charge for trespassing.

The Savannah Police Department believes that 46-year-old Keith King attacked a city resident Saturday afternoon. It did not go according to his apparent wishes.

First responders arrived to find King shot but conscious. He was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he received treatment for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Georgia law is generally favorable to responsible self-defense

It did not take investigators long to determine that the unidentified intended victim would not face legal trouble.

It helps her dramatically that the Peach State generally favors the victims’ rights over those of their attackers. Unfortunately, that policy is not as universal as one would expect.

At least ten U.S. states require that law-abiding citizens flee from violent criminals, virtually giving those who exploit upstanding people a free pass. Such laws fly in the face of long-standing American traditions of independence and self-reliance.

Not to mention the fact that they empower those who would victimize the weak.

But Georgia grants considerable leeway in cases of imminent danger. There is no need in this Deep South state to turn tail and scamper away at the first sign of trouble, and one Savannah woman is thankful for that privilege today.

There’s no better way to show your patriotism than with merch that speaks before you do.

Defend America is more than a name, it’s a stand for freedom, resilience, and the values this country was built on. Every tee, hat, and mug is a symbol of unapologetic pride. Wear it loud, wear it proud, and let the world know: freedom isn’t negotiable.
