A deadly early morning shooting in Nashville on Monday led investigators to uncover a love triangle that resulted in the alleged mistress using lethal force to defend herself from the reportedly jilted wife.
The 42-year-old Keiona Wilson went to the home to search for her husband, according to Metropolitan Nashville Police Department investigators.
Unfortunately, her husband was rumored to have an ongoing affair with the occupant, 42-year-old Keosha Greer.
The wife allegedly ignored a first shot and continued to force her way inside
Authorities believe Wilson arrived at the dwelling and found her husband’s vehicle parked in the back. The wife had a key and moved it to the front of the house before approaching the door.
The wife communicated with Wilson through a security system, and they apparently disagreed on whether the husband was inside.
Investigators determined that Wilson attempted to force her way in, and this was when Greer fired the first shot through the door. Unharmed, the wife reportedly continued to fight to get into the home and was ultimately successful, leading to the fatal showdown.

The women fought, and Greer fired another shot that struck Wilson in the abdomen. Wilson then fled, managing to drive her car to a police precinct before being rushed to Skyline Medical Center.
She did not survive her injuries.
The encounter is unquestionably tragic, but it was ultimately avoidable. Circumstances aside, it is ill-advised to attempt to force your way into another person’s home, and doubly so after the target has already fired a shot through the door.
Investigators confirmed that they consulted with the district attorney’s office and that no initial charges will be filed. Further review will determine whether the alleged mistress will face legal trouble, though it appears unlikely.
