Anti-Gunners Blame Firearms for Apparent Terror Attack in Texas

When agenda-driven political leaders are on a singular mission, the facts seldom interfere with their arguments. Look no further than the apparent terror attack in Austin for examples of breathless anti-gunners exploiting a tragedy to suit their own ends.

Last weekend, a foreign-born suspect shot up a nightclub after hostilities with Iran began. Three people died, and 13 others were injured before heroic law enforcement officers put down the threat.

Radical Second Amendment opponents immediately crawled out of the woodwork.

Texas primary winner immediately demanded more gun control

Texas State Rep. James Talerico (D), who won his hotly contested primary Tuesday, declared that more gun control would save the day in Texas.

“America is praying for Austin,” the candidate posted. “But there’s something profoundly cynical about asking God to solve a problem we’re not willing to solve ourselves. God moves and works through us. God has no other hands but our hands. We must act.

Besides the shaky theological position, Talerico is wrong.

Critics conveniently ignored what stopped the terror attack

U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) wrote on X that these incidents are preventable. His solution? For lawmakers to “find the courage to say no to the NRA,” which is a familiar trope from gun rights opponents.

If Second Amendment rights are not eviscerated, he believes, the U.S. “will be plagued with more tragedies.”

Though not directly referencing firearms, former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords pushed for more government action that could only mean one thing—gun control.

“Americans deserve to feel safe in their communities,” Giffords posted on X. “Safety is not a privilege—it is a right. It is time for our leaders to show courage, take responsibility, and build safer communities where every family can live without fear.”

Absent from every statement is any acknowledgement that the suspect was stopped by good guys with guns. That doesn’t fit the narrative.

There’s no better way to show your patriotism than with merch that speaks before you do.

Defend America is more than a name, it’s a stand for freedom, resilience, and the values this country was built on. Every tee, hat, and mug is a symbol of unapologetic pride. Wear it loud, wear it proud, and let the world know: freedom isn’t negotiable.
