When two men in Dallas decided it would be a good idea to break into a local business, they were ill-equipped to deal with the armed owner within.
Dallas Police report that the two men gained entry to a business in the 3000 block of Canton Street they did not expect to find the business owner asleep inside. After kicking in the door, the men were confronted by the owner who shot one of them.
The injured criminal was transported to the hospital in critical condition while his associate was arrested by police when they responded a short time later.
Police state that the investigation is ongoing, but it will be referred to a grand jury to determine if the shooting was in self-defense.
