Gun control radicals don’t even bother with a pretense of moderation anymore. Instead, they trot out their anti-Second Amendment policies as if they will somehow magically transform violent criminals into law-abiding citizens.
They will not, and these activists know it.
Take Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand, for example. He addressed a community event this week in the aftermath of a police shooting, and proceeded to aimlessly rant against the free exercise of the right to keep and bear arms.”
Mayor goes on indefensible rant against gun rights
“Nobody gardens with a gun, right?” LaGrand asked the gathering. “Nobody changes their tire with a gun. What they are for is killing human beings.”
Never mind the self-defense motivation that is demonstrated daily nationwide. No, guns must be eradicated, and gun owners demonized as a threat to society.
“I think as a community we need to start having some shaming around gun possession. I think if you got a gun, you should be ashamed of yourself. I really do. I’m sorry. That’s gonna be the sound bite of the night. The NRA is going to be mad at me.”
Anti-gunners always acknowledge the Second Amendment right before they dismiss it
Not content with repeating the anti-gunners’ trope of the NRA being the big and bad boogeyman, LaGrand kept digging his hole.
“I get that we have a Second Amendment. I get it,” the Grand Rapids mayor proclaimed. “But you should also be ashamed of yourself if you smoke. That’s not against the law. I think if you own a gun, you should be ashamed of yourself and you should really do some self-reflection. It’s just like cigarettes; there’s so much more harm done than benefit.”
Right. Tell that to the scores of Americans who defend themselves from violent criminals thanks to their Second Amendment rights.
It is said: When they tell you who they are, believe them.
There’s no better way to show your patriotism than with merch that speaks before you do.
Defend America is more than a name, it’s a stand for freedom, resilience, and the values this country was built on. Every tee, hat, and mug is a symbol of unapologetic pride. Wear it loud, wear it proud, and let the world know: freedom isn’t negotiable.
