Las Vegas Homeowner Shoots Two Robbery Suspects

A law-abiding citizen should not expect to be accosted in their own garage just going through a typical day, and there might not seem to be much of a need to be armed at home.

A Las Vegas man on Tuesday learned the value of situational awareness and preparedness—even when trouble seems least likely to erupt.

The presence of a loaded weapon may have saved a man’s life Tuesday

Law enforcement officers were called to a residence this week after a homeowner reported that he was approached by two suspects while in his garage. At least one of the suspects was armed, and the resident obviously felt threatened and reported that they tried to rob him.

That plan went sideways quickly.

The citizen produced a loaded weapon and fired at least shots, striking Connor Davis and Arqua Jenkins, both 29. The two were captured and transported to a local hospital with significant injuries.

Two wounded suspects face a slew of charges when they recover

Both were booked on suspicion of attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary while in possession of a gun or deadly weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Local media reported that Davis and Jenkins had prior run-ins with the law, though nothing on the scale of the charges the two face upon their release from the hospital. The investigation into the violent incident continues.

Nevada law allows for the use of deadly force to protect oneself or loved ones from imminent death or catastrophic bodily injury. There must, however, be clear circumstances that warrant a lethal reaction, and it cannot be carried out simply on “bare fear.”

Obviously, if this week’s incident unfolded as is being reported, it was more than merely “bare fear” that prompted the homeowner to fire. Defending against two armed strangers entering a garage unannounced in the middle of the day is an excellent example of the Second Amendment in action centuries after it was written.

There’s no better way to show your patriotism than with merch that speaks before you do.

Defend America is more than a name, it’s a stand for freedom, resilience, and the values this country was built on. Every tee, hat, and mug is a symbol of unapologetic pride. Wear it loud, wear it proud, and let the world know: freedom isn’t negotiable.
