First, it was Mexico.
The southern neighbor decided in recent years that its crippling dilemma with drug cartels and gang violence is the fault of the United States. Officials sued U.S. weapons manufacturers and distributors for billions for allegedly fueling the country’s criminal wave.
But in a rare show of unanimity, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 9-0 this year that the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) firmly blocks such lawsuits designed to bankrupt the Second Amendment industry.
NYT proclaims that US gun rights spark criminal behavior in Canada
Now, Canada is making similar noises as it battles its own criminal element.
And according to the New York Times, once again, it is American guns being scapegoated for a sovereign nation’s inability to handle its affairs.
After a recent shooting incident in Toronto involving gang members, officials looked south to assign blame.
“Within two days, we knew every single firearm that we’d seized that night was from the United States—which wasn’t surprising,” declared Inspector Paul Krawczyk of the Toronto Police Service.
Canada’s gun control regime is not protecting its citizens
The Times took the bait and criticized the U.S. for contributing to Canada’s crime problem.
“The proliferation of illegal guns from the United States has fueled bloodshed in Canadian cities and even in remote northern communities,” the outlet proclaimed. “It has brought the kind of random gun violence rarely seen before, like the shootout last year at the studio in Toronto’s hip Queen Street West neighborhood.”
Unfortunately for Canada’s anti-gunners, the numbers simply do not add up. As the nation continues to enact oppressive gun control measures, violent crime is on the rise.
Now look to the South.
Recent Supreme Court decisions and a change in the White House swung momentum in favor of the free exercise of Second Amendment rights. And in the U.S., violent crime is falling rapidly.
There’s no better way to show your patriotism than with merch that speaks before you do.
Defend America is more than a name, it’s a stand for freedom, resilience, and the values this country was built on. Every tee, hat, and mug is a symbol of unapologetic pride. Wear it loud, wear it proud, and let the world know: freedom isn’t negotiable.
