You Gotta love MAGPUL. Considering the gun control shit storm they are dealing with in Colorado, I couldn’t help but grin when I found out they released the PMAG 40. Let’s be honest, the whole 30 rounds thing was getting a little played out. I wouldn’t mind 40 rounds becoming the new standard.
My only issue with a 40 round magazine is superficial in nature. I think the extra length of the magazine throws off the proportions of the AR-15. The proportions on an AR 15 with a 30 round magazine is almost perfect. At the end of the day, 10 extra rounds is more than worth it.
Please believe i’ll have a PMAG40 in my home defense AR-15.
