In a perfect world, a person or group’s politics and religion should have no bearing on their safety as they move through modern society. But we live in an imperfect world, and intelligent people must know how to react when they are threatened.
According to Fox News, a prominent Jewish gun group now partners with the National Rifle Association (NRA) to promote active self-defense by its membership.
Jewish organization and NRA join forces to combat terrorist acts
Lox & Loaded joined with the NRA to announce a unique partnership with the Second Amendment organization. The purpose is to train Jewish residents to be their own first responders and defend against growing threats.
NRA Director of Public Affairs Justin Davis noted to Fox News the recent attacks on Jewish institutions such as the Temple Israel in Michigan.
He declared that Lox & Loaded is a great match for the NRA’s mission to help law-abiding Americans defend themselves against criminal violence. And while some critics might charge that antisemitism is not a growing concern, Davis declared that “these are not just empty threats anymore, they’re actual threats of violence.”
There is a very real threat to US Jewish institutions
Lox & Loaded has chapters in all 50 states and was formed after the October 7, 2023, terror attack on southern Israel.
Last month, a U.S. citizen drove his truck into Temple Israel, where small children were being cared for. Apparently motivated by recent turmoil in the Middle East, 41-year-old Ayman Mohamad Ghazli was confronted by armed security before he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A guard was injured when struck by the vehicle, and others suffered from smoke inhalation from the ensuing fire.
The FBI revealed that the suspect “purposefully [targeted] the Jewish community and the largest Jewish temple in Michigan.” After scouring his online and social media presence, the agency concluded that the terrorist was “inspired by Hezbollah’s militant ideology.”
