NRA: Anti-2A Forces Enlisting Clergy to Fight Gun Rights

Politics and the pulpit are as old as time, and modern issues certainly aren’t excluded from sermons and homilies in 21st-century America. Still, it’s important to note when gun control zealots intentionally target the faithful through those who lead their flocks.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) noted that a seemingly innocuous tract, “Extreme Risk Protection Orders: A Clergy Resource Guide,” was published last month.

These are the “red flag” confiscation schemes used many times to disarm citizens without due process.

Merely glancing at the source reveals the tract’s biases

Consider the source.

The writing is from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health’s Center for Gun Violence Solutions. In case you’re wondering, the organization is named for and undoubtedly supported by THAT Bloomberg, the former NYC mayor who pours his wealth into trampling on Second Amendment rights.

Johns Hopkins joined Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence, Faith Leaders for Ending Gun Violence, and Jewish Women International.

The NRA noted the astonishing arrogance Bloomberg revealed in a 2014 New York Times interview as he announced the formation of his Everytown for Gun Safety anti-Second Amendment outfit.

Worshipers must distinguish between divine and human intervention

“I am telling you if there is a God, when I get to heaven I’m not stopping to be interviewed,” the billionaire declared. “I am heading straight in. I have earned my place in heaven. It’s not even close.”

Besides the theological questions raised by spending your way through the pearly gates, there’s the glaring issue of trying to dictate a constitutional issue through the trust built between faith leaders and worshipers.

Some of the same crowd that screams when lines between church and state get blurry are noticeably silent when houses of worship are targeted to spread their propaganda.

The Johns Hopkins missive lists “warning signs” as acquiring guns and ammunition in significant quantities. That stance is alarming and dangerous because it portrays exercising constitutional rights as a threat to public safety.

Most faith leaders should see the writing for what it is–a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

There’s no better way to show your patriotism than with merch that speaks before you do.

Defend America is more than a name, it’s a stand for freedom, resilience, and the values this country was built on. Every tee, hat, and mug is a symbol of unapologetic pride. Wear it loud, wear it proud, and let the world know: freedom isn’t negotiable.
