canadian-prime-minister-to-ban-ar-15s-top-620

Like all politicians striving to make the state stronger and the people weaker, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wasted no time calling for a nationwide gun ban after the mass murder of 22 people in Nova Scotia.

Among those semi-automatic firearms reportedly set to be banned are the AR-15, Ruger Mini-14, CZ Scorpion, the Swiss Arms Classic Green, the Beretta Cx4 Storm, the Robinson Armament XCR and the Sig Sauer SIG MCX, along with other similar types.

A report by CBC News said 11 firearms in total will be banned.

Now that reports indicate 9 of the 22 mass murder victims were killed by arson, not gunfire, will Trudeau seek a ban on matches and lighters?  No matter how silly it sounds, this would be as logical as his proposed ban on semi-automatic firearms.

As is the case with all gun control, only the good people will be affected.  The Canadian killer did not legally own the guns he used in his crime.  Those so intent on killing that they go to the trouble of creating a replica police car for cover during their spree will find guns no matter what the laws dictate.  Guns are easier to smuggle than drugs and bans on the latter have never interrupted the availability to those who demand them.

American politicians will again point to Canada’s gun bans as setting the example our country must follow.  The difference is the will of the people.  Rebellion is in our blood.  It is our birthright forever enshrined in the Declaration of Independence.  We will not comply!  The only question is whether they accept this or must learn it the hard way.  Ball is in their court.
