Brady United is one of a handful of anti-Second Amendment outfits that attack gun rights and lament even the slightest reform to roll back previous constitutional overreaches. They became accustomed to success in recent years, so having their labor dismantled sent leaders into shock.
After advancements by the Department of Justice (DOJ) in securing the freedom for law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms, the group went into overtime tearing down these efforts.

Anti-gunners licking their wounds after a string of setbacks
Brady President Kris Brown trashed the Jensen v. ATF ruling that eliminated the last vestiges of the National Firearms Act registration requirements.
“What we are witnessing now is a transparent, concerted effort to deregulate these outrageously dangerous items,” Brown claimed before blaming “an extreme, outspoken few across various levels of government” who value corporate profits over public safety,
Streamlining the process for good people to acquire constitutionally protected items will be “devastating” and “strip away decades of protections.”
Past 2A encroachments were long overdue for a course correction
For good measure, Brady then ripped the DOJ for not appealing its defeat in Jensen.
The outfit subsequently protested the DOJ’s proposal to create a clear pathway for nonviolent offenders to have their Second Amendment rights restored.
Brown declared that a “robust and thoughtful system” should be deployed and then criticized the administration for having “no such discretion.”
Finally, the recent ruling against the previous administration’s frame-and-receiver rule sent Brady into a tailspin. Monday’s press release blamed so-called “ghost guns” for what it predicted would be a spike in violent crime–even as these infractions fall to historic lows.
It’s a tough time to be Brady.
