If you wear skinny Jeans (There’s a huge difference between skinny jeans and straight leg. lol) and carry a gun, you should take a look at the VanGaurd 2 from Raven Concealment. For a period of time they were only available for Glocks, but they now have a model available for the Smith and Wesson M&P series of pistols.
I carry using the VangGaurd 2 quite a bit and I love it. I don’t love the VanGaurd because it’s the most comfortable holster in the world, but because it does such an amazing job of being minimal. Some people recommend getting your pants a size bigger when you conceal carry, but I don’t. I like my pants/jeans to fit a certain way and going up a size just makes me look sloppy. So, I need a very minimal holster if I am wanting to carry my Glock 19 instead of having to drop down to my Glock 26 or M&P Shield.
I haven’t done a full review on the VanGuard 2, but I will leave you guys with this until I do:
- Ordering the Holster from Raven Concealments site is annoyingly confusing. Read the text and ignore the pictures. What you are looking for is the VanGuard 2 Holster – Full Kit. I learned this the hard way.
- The Vanguard 2 is about as comfortable as simply sticking a gun in your pants, except with a bit more support.
- Makes going to the bathroom or dressing room of a store a breeze.
- You can use one VanGuard for the Glock 26,19,17,23,22,27,30,etc. You get the point.
- I am not sure how interchangeable the VanGaurd 2 is between the M&P series of handguns.
- It’s designed for appendix carry, but I usually carry at the 3 O’Clock position (Hip), and it works just fine.
