Anti-Gunners Openly Seek to Control SCOTUS Through Court-Packing

In 1937, President Franklin D. Roosevelt (D) alarmed even his ardent supporters when he introduced a shocking idea. With the U.S. Supreme Court’s majority derailing many of his New Deal proposals, he and his attorney general concocted a scheme to overhaul the high court.

The idea was to install as many as six new justices, and of course, they would back his plans. Congress wisely shot down the backdoor maneuver, and it should have remained dead.

But recent Second Amendment victories concerning guns and marijuana use and Hawaii’s “vampire rule,” combined with justices agreeing to hear arguments over “assault weapons” bans in the fall, resurrected the court-packing idea.

When extreme gun rights opponents tell you who they are, believe them

Breitbart News reported that an MS NOW host recently asked U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) if the discredited idea of court-packing is being seriously discussed.

“Absolutely, it is. Absolutely,” Jayapal answered. “I mean, look, we need a Supreme Court that is not beholden to corporate interests [or] to any president, but is actually willing to interpret the law and not reinterpret it and revisit settled decisions. And this court has shown over and over again that it is incapable of doing that.”

Possible 2028 presidential hopeful open to radical SCOTUS rebuilding

In case there are any who believe the congresswoman is just an outlier making noise, a governor and a senator threw their support behind the consideration of a politically motivated expansion of the high court.

Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) told the outlet that his party saw seats “stolen” in recent elections and will consider all options to right this “wrong.”

Even more alarming, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D), considered by many to be a moderate poised for a run at the White House in 2028, refused to dismiss the scheme.

“I think everything needs to be on the table,” he told MS NOW, “I think we need radical reform.”

A constitutional end-around to destroy Second Amendment rights is the definition of “radical.”

There’s no better way to show your patriotism than with merch that speaks before you do.

Defend America is more than a name, it’s a stand for freedom, resilience, and the values this country was built on. Every tee, hat, and mug is a symbol of unapologetic pride. Wear it loud, wear it proud, and let the world know: freedom isn’t negotiable.
